Game Day

Nathan and Jeff came to our class on Friday.

They read Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes. The students shared some of their worries with the athletes. They included tornadoes, various outdoor creatures, and crocodiles under the bed.

Nathan and Jeff patiently answered questions. We spent the first 5 minutes of question time trying to figure out what team they play for. For some reason this is confusing to many of them. They also asked questions about their football lockers and if they stunk. When Nathan and Jeff both answered yes, every student felt the need to give their solution to the stinky problem. They finally decided a plug in air freshener would be the best bet! Some of their questions have nothing to do with football such as, "Have you ever got stuck in a freezer?"

The athletes then posed for some photos and signed our autograph books.

Thanks Nathan and Jeff and good luck this year!

  1. Mrs. Ward - thank you for creating this blog! I LOVE looking at it a few times a week to see pictures of all of the kids. It gives me a great tool to ask more specific questions to my son about his life there at school. Litte events are uncovered that would otherwise go unknown. THANKS FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT TEACHER IN SO MANY WAYS...YOU ARE A BLESSING!
